Key Responsibilities • Perform CMM inspection and dimensional measurement of components as per engineering drawings and specifications. • Handle CMM profile/measurement inspection and coordinate with the quality team for inspection requirements. • Interpret and understand engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, dimensions, and specifications. • Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspection of machined components. • Perform dimensional measurements using: o Vernier Caliper o Micrometer o Height Gauge o Bore Gauge o Dial Gauge o Thread Gauges o Plug/Ring Gauges o Other precision measuring instruments • Verify component dimensions against drawing specifications and acceptance criteria. • Identify dimensional deviations, defects, and non-conformities and support corrective actions. • Maintain inspection records, quality documents, and measurement data. • Prepare CMM inspection reports, dimensional inspection reports, and quality reports. • Prepare and maintain Measurement Audit Reports and other quality documentation. • Perform periodic verification and monitoring of measuring instruments and gauges. • Support calibration and gauge management activities. • Conduct measurement audits and ensure accuracy and reliability of inspection results. • Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Engineering, and other departments to resolve quality issues. • Analyze rejection, rework, and dimensional variation and assist in root-cause analysis. • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and internal inspection procedures. • Maintain proper documentation and traceability of inspection results. • Support customer inspection, quality audits, and third-party inspection activities when required. • Follow company safety, quality, and documentation procedures. Required Skills • Strong knowledge of CMM inspection and dimensional measurement. • Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T. • Hands-on experience with Vernier, Micrometer, Gauges, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge, etc. • Knowledge of CMM profile measurement and inspection report preparation. • Experience in quality inspection and measurement auditing. • Good knowledge of machining components and manufacturing processes. • Ability to identify dimensional and quality-related issues. • Good documentation and reporting skills. • Ability to work with Production and Quality teams to resolve inspection-related issues. • Knowledge of calibration and measuring instrument control will be an added advantage. • 3+ years of experience in Quality/CMM inspection, preferably in a machine shop/manufacturing environment. • DME / B.E. Mechanical qualification. • Candidates with practical experience in dimensional inspection and CMM operations are preferred. • Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Willingness to work in a manufacturing/production environment.Apply Now
